Amanda is a PhD student in Dr. Sarah Reed’s lab. She is working on a project evaluating how maternal diet effects offspring inflammation and oxidative status. Her primary interests include the intersection of nutrition and muscle biology and how inflammation and oxidative stress effect offspring growth and development. Amanda is also working in a cell culture model to determine how IL-8, an inflammatory cytokine, effects muscle stem cells.
