About
Gaurav is a PhD student working under Dr. Breno Fragomeni. Gaurav is a veterinarian from India with a Master’s dissertation on functional transcriptome data analysis in heat-stressed Indian crossbreed dairy cattle. Currently, he is investigating alternative strategies to evaluate the feasibility of a national genomic selection for heat tolerance in the U.S. Holstein population. Gaurav’s research interests include quantitative genetics, animal genomics, statistical genetics in animal breeding, and bioinformatics. Additionally, he is interested in the production and management of dairy cattle and the poultry breeding/genetics industry. Apart from animal science, Gaurav is a cricket enthusiast and keeps interested in music and singing.
