About

Dr. Nicole Tillquist grew up in Southern California and received her BS (2018) and MS (2020) from Colorado State University in Ruminant Nutrition. Dr. Tillquist completed her PhD in 2023 at the University of Connecticut and is currently a postdoctoral research associate in Dr. Kristen Govoni’s lab investigating the effects of nutrient restriction on fetal small intestine development using a sheep model.

  • The effects of poor maternal diet on growth and development of offspring
  • Small intestine development and how poor maternal nutrition may impact nutrient transport in offspring as a potential mechanism for impaired growth and feed efficiency
