About

Trushen is an PhD student working in Dr. Abhinav Upadhyay’s Lab. He is a Veterinarian & Toxicologist from India specializing in Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology. After completing his Master’s degree, Trushen worked as attending veterinarian & toxicologist in AAALAC accredited pharmaceutical industries and he has more than 5 years of experience to perform safety studies as per OECD guidelines. Currently, he is working on USDA-NIFA grant to control Salmonella Enteritidis in Broiler chickens by using different plant derived compounds by using nanotechnology-based interventions. Trushen’s research interests are food safety, microbiology, poultry gut health, host microbiome, pharmacokinetics and nanotechnology. In his leisure time, he likes to listen music and read newspapers.
