About

Yuying Ren is a PhD student in Dr. Mary Anne Amalaradjou’s lab. Her current research investigates sustained probiotics as antibiotic replacements in the production of broiler chicken, which is studying the sustained the probiotic supplementation effect on the broiler growth performance and muscle development. Moreover, she also works with controlling pathogens in food systems, such as the control Salmonella enterica, E. coli O157:H7, and Listeria monocytogenes on alfalfa seeds, sprouts, apples, and embryonated layer eggs.
